View Full Version : Hollywood press
I recently purchased what appears to be a hollywood extra heavy duty single stage press. I know little about hollywood presses but this thing looks like it would load anything that was ever a bullet and the guy I got it from used it for 50 BMG with no problems. Now the question, is it rare? or just one I haven't come across before.

Can't do pictures. Went through the advanced search on the site and it's there. They call it the extra heavy duty single stage reloading press.

Well, you either have a Senior, could be a tall shaft model, post 1961. Or you have one of the Universal frame presses. Tall cast steel frame, or cast aluminum that has "Universal" on the side. They are not especially rare.
The Senior would be the more rare as fewer were made over a shorter period of time. The just posted picture is the late Senior. They are fine presses.

That's it, It's iron and weighs a ton doesn't look like it says anything on it. I bought it to use so value really doesn't matter. Thanks

Then you got one of the more desirable ones.
