there isn't any data on this one but Lyman lists 2400 at 15.5g for a 130g boolit as a starting load for a 308. Being that the 243 is a necked down 308... Does anyone have any experience with 2400 and the 243? I just got a 85g Lyman mold and looking at giving this a go.

I have the Ly. 87gr. Loverin mold and use 9.0, 9.5, and 10.0gr. of Unique with it. (Accuracy is VG - E.) Since Unique is faster than #2400, you may want to start at 9.5gr. - 10.0gr., examine both your targets and cases, then slowly work up a load.

Plenty of Data in Lyman #1. Start with 11 grains and end below 14 gr with either the Ly 85 gr or the RCBS 95.

RCBS #1 on pg 51 shows 13.0-15.0 gr with the 243-095-SP and 14.5-16.5 gr with the 243-100-FN.

Thanks also found an old copy of Lyman 48 and 44 manuals and they suggest 12 to 15g with the Lyman mold. So the adventure begins. Will post the results after the trip to the range.
