193600193601My pops was cleaning out his barn and came across this press. I've haven't seen this in person yet. Looks like a die screws in from the bottom. I'm thinking a bullet sizer? What say you?

It's a reloading press, homemade and well thought out. You are looking at it upside down.
It works on the upstroke only. It follows a pattern of presses made by Meepos and Tecto.

Don't throw it in the scrap pile, it is usable.

Freed up the press with some PB Blaster. Just needs some TLC and she'll be back in business.

I personally do not like up stroke presses. However, that is a interesting piece of equipment and well worth saving and maybe restoring. james

Updated my post. The two top pics are of the press right side up. The shaft has been freed up with PB blaster. I'll have it in a couple weeks and start rehabbing it.

Awesome. What kinds of cartridges do you all think it was intended for?

Pressman you have first dibs on it if that time comes. My pops read somewhere on the press that it can handle .25 acp up to 45-70. I am not sure what cal die is in it currently.

Duckey that would be correct, but, with its limited leverage you may find full length sizing a large rifle case more work than you want to do. Pistol calibers with carbide dies would be nice.
I cannot tell from the pictures how the shellholder works, that could be another problem.

That's what I was wondering: if you could tell from the shellholder what cartridges it was intended for.

I like upstroke presses as it works my biceps. Two of my Hollywoods are upstroke.

I like it. Does it take standard dies? 7/8x14? Shell holder looks like a maybe problem May have to have a "universal" made up. Looks well made. Any chance it was a prototype for somebody? Pistols only as a short throw. very kool !
