Finally got the parts in ...and..on.. my *** IAB Sharps 1863....
kinda tried for accuracy but basically just wanted to blast away..
5 male kin... each tried one round.....ONE !!!
Shot 18 rds during daylight..
(Loverly great cloud of white smoke !!! )[smilie=w:
I shot 13...:-D
Had 3 rds left at dark...
I wanted to see what flame it would spit, and what it sounded like from a distance...
So, "who wants to give it another try ? "
NO TAKERS !!!
Called 'em a "Buncha sissy-boy heathen commies !!!"
onliest 110grs of FFg behind 542gr Pedersoli slug...
I enjoyed the hell out of it,, must be a recoil junkie huh ?:coffee:

I got my eye on a Pedersoli Quigley 45-120...
If'n this IAB is a kinda a .54-110...??
Mebbe... I could handle more than 3 rds of 45-120 before deciding to sell it ??
'Cause I been hearin' that sum folks get macho..get a 45-110 or 45-120..an' decide after 3 or 4 rounds... that mebbe it's just a bit too much...then sell'em.
Whatch think.. go fer the -120 ???

...................But it sounded like you had fun! Get a Martini in 577-450 if you want some BP noise, smoke and recoil fun!

If you want to be a big bore guy get a H&R 12 rifled shotgun and some brass shells from Mag Tech (Cabellas sells them) get a suitablely sized (.715" round ball mold and load up a couple hundred grains of BP and the ball in the case. I put a 1/8 card wad then a 1/4 inch felt wad coated with Wonderlube then the ball on top. It really lets you know when it goes off and gives plenty of movement at both ends.

Here's what we use to make some noise on the fourth. 8oz. of FG wrapped in three sheets of aluminum foil does the trick.
