Armscor 22tcm rifle barrel removal

Has anyone had experience removing the barrel on a 22tcm rifle? I was thinking of buying a used one and rebarring it to 9mm.

I replaced the barrel on mine but chambered it to the 22tcm. The barrel isn't very difficult to remove and threading and chambering wasn't a hard job either

Easy...they never seem to have much torque on them.

I've built several 9MM's using that action. Open up the bolt face about .020, reprofile the feed ramp and swap out the barrel. Not hard to do.

Stupid quiet with a suppressor and subsonic 9mm ammo.

Cool! I just wanted to make a 9mm bolt action rifle, and I figured a re-barrel would be pretty much all that was needed. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the barrel from?

I used a 9mm barrel blank from Green Mountain. I profiled it, chambered it, fluted it and threaded it for a can. It shoots great.

If they would make rifles legal for turkey here I'd have an excuse to buy one and rebuild it. Would make a good all around small/medium game and vermin gun though....... I keep telling myself "no more new calibers" yet they just seem to keep accumulating *sigh*

That's about all this rifle is good for us the action. They come from the factory with horrific tool marks in the barrel. I bought a green mountain heavy blank and chambered it for the 22tcm opened up the barrel channel set pillars. It shoots as well as my 221 fireball
