This is my192834192835deer hunting pistol, the 460 magnum shooting 200 grain flex tip.

I shot a S & W revolver in 460 about 4 or 5 shots to zero the scope for a friend that owned it and was somewhat afraid to shoot it. It gave me a bloody nose from the muzzle brake blast ? ( my thought ) and quit shooting it.
That is one intense cartridge ! Not my cup of tea. �� Jedman

I use mine without a brake and shoot WFN 310 grain cast at moderate velocities and it is not bad to shoot at all.

Take anything in North America with it.

I had a S&W 5" barrel 460 and it was brutal on the hands and ears I had to use plugs and muffs made the mistake of hunting without any ear protection my ears rang all day after shooting two does at 30 yards, sold it an got the Encore much easier to shoot.

Nice, I've got a 15" MGM encore barrel in 500 s&w, full power 450gr boolits sting a bit lol.
