I have an All-American, but only 2 shell holders. The nearby Reloading Store scored a bunch of old stuff, including a dozen or so J-type shell holders. I can't find a chart indicating what calibers go with which numbers...

Anybody got a link??

What SalPal48 said. There are a couple exceptions for unusual calibers but generally you can use the Lyman X style numbers.

StratsMan,

You already have your answer... use the same numbers as the current, X-type shell holders. I have only found a VERY few exceptions for the very newest calibers. BUUUTTT, if you can get the J-type shell holders at a good price, my advice is to get as many different ones as you can to store up against future needs... they don't get any easier to find as time passes. Also, keep in mind that extras make great trading material since there are so many Tru-Line Jr presses out there (not to mention All Americans and Comets.) A disadvantage of using the conversion is that you lose some of the range of throw of the press, not to mention that you have to buy different, special primer seaters if you prime on press. I love me some J-type shell holders!
