View Full Version : Asking prayer for my brother, Allen

My brother, Allen, is a few years younger than me. He is a believer. He and his wife raised their own three sons, adopted another, then three brothers. At a school reunion a few years back, he told those assembled that he had 7 sons with three different mothers. Needless to say, his wife was kicking his ankle vigorously. Tomorrow he goes to a specialist in Buffalo for suspected pancreatic cancer. Your prayers would be appreciated.

Father, Please heal Allen so that his suspected pancreatic cancer is non-existent or gone. Father, I know that the older we get the slower pancreatic cancer grows but I am praying that You guide the physicians that are treating him. AMEN

I will pray for your brother. Pancreatic cancer is a bad one, and I have lost two close friends to it. Perhaps the Lord will intervene.

Lord we bring to your attention one who has done his level best to be a good man. Raising others children, feeding your sheep. Be with Allen in this time of trial. Heal him it be your will Lord. If not make it as swift and painless for him and his family as possible. I do not know your will in this Lord. So I do not ask for the impossible. Give Allen and his family what you can. That includes Allen's brother William.

To God be the Glory.

In the name of the Father and the Son, two together as one, and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Prayers up for Allen and family and friends. When family or friends are ailing seriously, all are affected. May God bless them all.

Diagnosis is a cyst on his liver, treatable. Procedure in a couple of weeks which leads me to believe they don't consider it extremely urgent. Thanks for your prayers.

The liver is a very resilient organ. Praise God that this is treatable.

Ghosthawk said it first: "To God be the Glory!" Scares like this are VERY sobering, and put lots of things in their proper and rightful perspective VERY quickly. Yet another reminder that our loved ones aren't with us for always, and that we too have our time, and it may be before the end of this day, or many years from now. It's because we can't know that, that we're reminded to appreciate and be with our loved ones while we yet CAN. Praise God that this one had a much better end than it might have been. Just learn from it, and act accordingly.

We humans tend to be SO neglectful in all the things that really mean so much to us, and we tend to deal with what's of most immediate concern. But things like this help us re-prioritize our thinking. So they CAN be a "good thing," if we learn from them. Our God is vigilant in keeping us focused on what's really important, if we'll just learn the lessons He's always trying to teach us. What a wonderful God we serve, and who protects us better than we know how to protect ourselves!
