That my Lord died for me gave me salvation .

That My Lord is risen has given me life .

...............WHY?

Cause God knew you could not do it by yourself so in his grace He did it for you.
Yes Jesus loves even you and me but in my case it was even greater grace.

I'm with Jim. Best explanation I think I've ever heard. "God is love" is MUCH more than just a verse in the Bible. It's a principle for understanding Him, and what He does, and why He does it. What more could He do to show His love for us?

Brother Boaz it is very simple. Because he loved you before the world was formed. Keep looking up.

*now we know why .what are we going to do about it ?

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.*And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. - 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Corinthians5:14-15&version=NIVo

now we know why. What are we going to do about it ?

Don't just read John 3:16, read 15 - 18 best of the verses is why Jesus came cause we are condemned already and He gave us a handle to escape the judgement already on the human race. That is God's grace explained.
If a person chooses to reject Jesus gift they send themselves to hell.
