Good afternoon everyone.

I'm after some help, if you don't mind?

I've recently picked up some 2nd hand reloading gear from a auction.
Lots of die sets and a press.
The press is the item I have questions on.

I've tried searching on this site and the dreaded Google search, nothing comes back with this type of press.

It states on the press that it is an ejon made in England, but I can't source any information on the manufacturer. No time lines, when it might have been manufactured and where.

I've attached a couple of piccies of the press

I have a few reloading presses now:- Dillon 550b, rockchucker, Rcbs turret and even a Lee turret.
I bought the lot, as the press, for me was different.

So the question I have is:- does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks for looking,

Pup

Never heard of it and doubt that anyone here on this side of the pond has one. It looks and probably operates like a much shortened Lyman All-American. As it is so short and built to attach to the edge of a bench, I imagine it will only be useful for pistol cartridges. Interesting color.

Are the die holes threaded? If so, what is the size?

Hi again,

Toallmy, below are the die sets that came with the press.
i do have another question about the dies.

one of the sets is stamped with m 43 e.
when I look up .43 it comes back with Beaumont, Spanish and Mauser.

however I'm not sure what they fit.

I have no clue what they would be for , but it seems like your dies are standard dies and if your press will take a regular shell holder you are in business . There are some very knowledgeable members here that will likely step in over a few days with some thoughts .

The 43e dies were likely made by the same company that made the press. They are not USA made.
I have no information on English made presses, though the blue color is the same as the Australian Simplex. It generally followed Lyman designs, and this one has a lot of the same characteristics.
There has to be a shop somewhere in England that has survived all the politics, someone who remembers. The time frame is probably late 1960's to mid 1970's.

Could I ask you to email me some larger format pictures? Posted here the software shrinks them to almost too small to pick out details.

The dies you have Pictures 43E were made By Jim Jukes. his tooling was very distinct and always packaged In those white Plastic Boxes. Weather He made Them or a Company In England . But all Jukes Dies are The same .
As to the press That Is still in Question

Jim Jukes is my FRIEND.
He wrote the book on loading for the 577-450 MH and because of that
he is my friend, though I have never met him :)

I have found just a single reference to the Ejon press. That was in a 2006 post on another site by a fellow Englishman.

Below is the Simplex for comparison. There is a lot of similarities, and a lot of differences.

This link to a 2006 post is the only mention of Ejon presses I have been able to dig up. I did find more pictures of used dies for sale in England that look like your unknown set. They were hard used so a positive id may be wrong.

I have a couple of sets of NDFS (North Devon Firearms Services) dies that match those pictured. Agree with the .43 Egyptian especially as NDFS specialised in obsolete calibres.

That is a neat little press. Looks to be about perfect for small pistol reloading

I emailed over to Simplex to ask if they had any history with this flavour of press.
unfortunatly the answer was negative, they agree it shares some common features, but it's not one from their history books.
