Does anyone know the size of the c clips that hold the hollow points on a Mihek mold. Lost a couple of them, very small an hard to find on the shop floor.

I'd bet they are metric.

There are a lot of threads on it if you search for "mihec E clips"
Good luck!

Haha, I lost a couple also, got so I don't use them any more. I have 4 banger MP moulds that have never seen an E clip.

I just put a magnet on the mould blocks when I am changing c-clips. They go right to the magnet and are kept safe whether I drop them, fumble them or whatever and it keeps them all together.

I have no problems using just one e-clip per cavity,
on the bottom slider pin only.

Saves me some hassle when I slop sprue lead
over that side of the blocks.

When I lost a couple of the e clips I got replacement clips at my local hardware/auto parts store. Think I paid 10 cents each, got spares and put them in a small zip lock bag and store them in my tool box.

I'd be surprised if you couldn't find these at any decent hardware store. They are a bit fussy I have to say, but worth it for the slick design and operation. I also only use one per cav.

I got replacement at Ace hardware. Just took the pin post in and tried till we found the right ones. I keep all my in unused hardware and pins for each mold in a large pill bottle. Us old people accumulate lots of them over time instead of baby food jars.
