Just bought out a friends reloading gear and he had this CH111 press and what looks like brand new Lyman M5 scale. just curious as I have no use for either but wondering what sort of price they would possibly bring. He also had a MEC Versa 700 shotgun press in excellent condition. Couple of boolit molds including 3 SAECO molds. Bunch of other stuff which I will be posting soon for sale also. I really did not need any of it but got a heck of a deal.

C&H presses usually go for a premium price here and on Ebay. I have not seen one go for less than $60.00 or more than $150.00. The Lyman M5 scale is as good as it gets without going electronic. It and the RCBS 10-10 are the same press with different paint and sellers name. These 2 as well as many other beam scales are made by Ohaus. I have a Lyman M5 and it will go to one of my kids or grandkids when I pass on, it will not be sold. The will go anywhere from $50.00 to well over a hundred in great condition. MEC presses are all over the board on price. I have seen 650's go for as little as $35.00 and as much as $250.00 in good shape. Gun clubs around the country usually have a bulletin board full of MEC presses for sale and some at ridiculous low prices. They are excellent press in my opinion.

Lyman M5 and the RCBS 10-10 are NOT the same scale. Very similar, but the 10-10 is based on a 10grain beam and the M5 is based on a 5grain beam. The 10-10 has the barrel to adjust tenths while the M5 has the slide on the bar. I have both side by side. For decent pictures just search on eBay!

Those presses look like forerunners of the modern O press. Are they all single stage? I imagine they are great for loading rifle rounds and swaging since they look so beefy. 310 dies? Thanks

While they are well built the effort required required to resize rifle brass is excessive compared to presses with compound linkage.

I bought my Lyman M5 last year at a local Gun Show for $25! I had all I could do not to Smile! Maybe the only time I got a deal at a Gun Show! hc18flyer

Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal to me!

I enjoy looking at old equipment that has endured time. Keeping my eyes out for a CH 111 press.

Is the blue one a CH 333?

Oh, and nice Dunbars.

Kevin, the blue one looks like the old Schissel, then Micro Precision, now Bair press.

Since I know that those presses belong to Grasslander, the Blue press is actually a Bair without the primer attachment.

The one on the far right (brown) is a Herter's (Dunbar wannabe) model number 9. And the one on the far left is a Dunbar.

Sorry for not labeling in my original post, I didn't think about it since the topic was the CH 111 press.
