I posted a couple of months ago that I had acquired a 1885 take down. I have been shooting it quite a bit and enjoying it immensely. I shoot it rested as I am a poor shot any more off hand. Any tips on shooting a High Wall from a rest? Where to rest it, bedding or floating the fore arm, muzzle clamp I have been breach seating the 38-55 but now have a 30-30 barrel also. I'm not sure about breach seating the 30-30. ANY information will be appreciated.

Seems to be the general consensus that if you bed the forearm, then it needs a slight gap where it meets the receiver. A solid forearm is good, but not if it's touching the receiver too. As it warms up the point of impact can change.
