I had one. I bought it about the same time I bought my 696. It was probably the best rossi gun ive seen. It wasn't as tight and the fit and finish wasn't what the smith was but for what it was and what it cost it was a decent gun. Wasn't as accurate as the smith either but had no problem shoot 2 inch 25 yard groups with loads it liked. Don't remember why I sold or traded it but it wasn't because it was the typical rossi junk.

I know I'm chiming in here a bit late but I just recently acquired a Rossi 720. To add to my luck I found a genuine Rossi brand leather IWB holster for cheap on EBay. Holster was new old stock.

It's a bit on the heavy side for concealed carry compared to my Charter Bulldog but depending on the circumstances I carry it occasionally. Mine has the non fluted cylinder and original Rossi marked rubbers. Haven't done much with it yet but did get a chance to shoot up some handloads that were to hot for my Bulldog.

Being a Rossi and my having low expectations. I was really surprised and impressed with the smoothness of the D/A trigger. Not quite as good as my older S&W's but on par with today's production. Lacking a pull gauge the S/A trigger is crisp and breaks with no creep. No lawyer locks and it has a hammer mounted firing pin. Accuracy was better than expected especially for a 3 inch barrel. I had a hodge-podge of various ammo but it seemed to shine with hot loads and Hornady factory fodder. Apx 10 soft shooting Fiocchi CAS clustered real nice at 7 yards.

In summary I'm a happy camper. Traded straight across giving up an ATI-92 I had less than 300 into.
