I have 1 pound of this stuff. On the box it reads STRONGEST No. 509 solder melt and flow point is 509 degrees F. Would this be good to use as an alloy for making lead boolits harder?

I did a Google search and this is what I found..."All-State No. 509 Strongset® solder is a cadmium and zinc alloy of outstanding strength and corrosion resistance. It has exceptional wetting and flow characteristics, even on anodized aluminum and resists galvanic corrosion."

Based on that, I don't think I'd want to add it to my boolit alloy.

I think that it contains zinc. I wouldn't use it. Look at the link I posted.
