New Leather for My GP100 44SPL

My Simply Rugged Cattleman left hand cross draw holster arrived last week and I really like it. It clears the holster smoothly and conceals well under a jacket. It is great for woods walking, horseback riding and driving. I opted for the hammer thong for extra security while riding. I plan on buying one for my SP-101 3 inch 9mm.

Love me some Simply rugged holsters. I really like the shell loops on the holster design for my hunting guns. 6 in the gun and 6 on the holster.

Is that a hammer loop?

A little odd to see that on a DA holster.

It is a hammer loop and will be used only when trail riding. I chose the loop rather than the long hammer strap because I can easily remove the loop when I carry under a jacket in town.

I like my Simply Rugged holster for my M&P Model 10. The only issue is I wish he didn't bring the lip on the holster so high on the gun. Either shorten it a bit or flare it more for re-holstering. I am forever catching the cylinder on the edge of the lip of the holster.
