Hi guys was wondering if anyone has a lever in 358bellm or 358jdj or have thought about it?

I have a 336 and a 94bb. I think it would work fine if single loaded in the big bore and possibly cycle if small bullets were used. But I think there would almost no chance in an unmodified 336, my 38-55 ammo was a fight to get through it.

Would the 94bb take the cartridge?

I have a 15" TC Contender barrel chambered in 358 Bellm. It can do 1 1/2" to 2" groups at 200 yards from solid rest, but I get no more then that at 100 yds with normal field-hunting situations. It can get 2050 fps with a 200 gr. bullet.
Making cases is easy just run 444 Marlin brass through 358 Winchester dies.
Headspace is critical for proper function and accuracy in the Contender.

The JDJ I believe can be made in the same manner with the same parent case. Not sure if special dies are needed or not. The Bellm will make a good thumper in your 94.

I would be a lot more keen on the bellm nice long neck!

Would be tempted to just go 1.560 to shoulder and cut back so you still have a .520 neck and a case length of 2.170.

have you given any thought to the .356 Winchester?

I have but its neck is a little short for large cast bullets!

I really just want a long neck version. I know the 35-30/30 is long necked but it has a fair bit less capacity, probably not an issue till you get in to jackets though.

Forget the bellm, fine cartridge, but too long really for a 94.

I am just going to go for a 356 long neck.

.525" neck instead of .365".

More capacity than a 35/30-30 but that great neck for long cast bullets.

You could make up the chamber using a 22/250 reamer to cut the body and separate reamer/s to cut a 35 cal neck and throat. If you wanted a bit more capacity you could use a 6.5x47 reamer to cut the body. Find someone who is prepared to open up 22/250 or 6.5x47 dies to suit and you would have a relatively cheap wildcat.

The 6.5x47 would actually be spot on to cut the majority of the chamber.

My smith doesn't have one but he does have a 308-1.5" which could be deep chambered till it hits 1.400" shoulder and then the neck reamed separately.

Or maybe he could short chamber the 358win ajd finish it with a neck reamer.

Want a long neck, run a 30-40 Krag brass into a .35Rem size die.
Might be able to do the same thing with a .303

The photo is of 356 brass run through a cut down 356 die.
