I saw something like this advertised for sale recently, can't remember where.

Guess they're still figuring out legalities. I live in the sticks and would have no problem shooting a drone with conventional shotgun ammo if I thought someone were spying on me or mine.

range of ??? Sound like a ton of BS as how far would that travel? Yards that its effective would be low. As a goose hunter we are all look for the cheap enough shell to take geese at 60 + yards. Even the 8 gauge if they would make it would have an effective range of ?? Sound like TSS and good load of say 2's would be money better spent. Even TSS for a goose hunter would be to say 100-110 yards maybe but spread counts, cost would 4,5,6 bucks a shot.

Just talked to buddy snow hunting and darn birds just were holding out of range. Told him he needs a load of 5 or 6 's TSS and a bunch of cash for them 80 yard geese, we laughed.

This is a modified Kentucky cat load. The original load used a long piece of thin wire that had split shot sinkers crimped to it for the payload.

I think for drone season I would just use the lead waterfowl loads the libs banned in the 70s.

Well Hogtamer, I think loading those on the Spolar is going to be a challenge. Agree with Teddy, cannot see them having much range.

BTW, last time I checked, we cannot shoot down drones legally, even if they are over our property. One thing about living in the sticks is I have never seen one and if I did...well...accidents happen.

Yikes! I bet those cost a bit to develop and load. As long as the taxpayer is footing the bill cost doesn't much matter.

I agree with Teddy ~ a larger bore with larger shot like 10 ga. or 8 ga. would likely be better.

And better again would be a .22 rimfire mini gun... or maybe this:

If you want to down it without destroying the electronics, shot may not be the best answer.

I am not much of a shotgunner but before I read the reply's I thought what's wrong with a stout load of #2's. Looks like someone has found an expensive solution they want to sell and needed a problem.

In the old days of goose hunting it was fairly common to wire buckshot together with steel fishing leaders. This is just more refined.
