CVA squirrel rifle part ID

Howdy all,

Got a CVA 32 cal squirrel rifle the other day. Tore it down to inspect/clean and a spring/clip fell out that I cant seem to find where it belongs. Put the rifle together and all functions ok. Wondering if anyone that owns one of these could tell me where it goes and what it is. Thanks for the help.190670

ramrod retainer spring. goes inside the barrel channel in yer fore-end. the front lock screw holds it in place.

oh ok great, makes sense now. never thought of that, others were always screwed to the rib under the barrel that i'd seen. thanks so much for the help.
