I don't PC my boolits, but my brother, who is just starting to get into cast, is thinking about it. I want to send him some booits for his 327, but he was interested in PC'ing them. I want to send him some boolits pre-sized for coating so that he will not have to have to size them. What is the normal thickness for a Poly Coat? What size should I make the boolits to allow for the thickness of the coating? The target goal is .313, I have .310. .311, and .312 sizers. What would be the best choice?

Send them unsized, he can size them after coating. Don't use any lube (other than plain H2O) in the sizer if you do it.

Coating can add .002-.005" in diameter. Hard to say until it's baked.

It depends on how thick the coat is. I'd go with .311 if the goal is .313. I think it's better to be a little bigger than too small

He doesn't have a sizer for 327 size boolits. The goal is to size then coat, then load, then shoot.

I gain about .002 with my method of powder coating.
but I coat and size just to make sure.
