Get-The-Lead-Out

I have already purchased the following: Lee's 4-die set as well as the .278 bullet resizing die for the 270. The Lee 135 grain 2-bullet mold that leaves the reduction around the base of the bullet for a gas check. I have a little over 100 once-fired brass cases that so far have only been decapped and tumbled with corn cob. 1,000 Winchester rifle primers. 2lbs of IMR 4064 smokeless powder and I also got a good deal on 1,000 Hornady gas checks for 30.00.
The wheel weight lead was tested several times and got consistent results of 16 Brinell hardness but I wasn't sure if this hardness was plenty or if I should water quench the bullets when they come out of the mold. I also seen where some people were having to use something called a "buffer" whereby it was used to fill up the empty space between the powder and the bullet thus keeping the powder packed snugly for a better burn rate. I was also looking for information on applying gas checks when also going to powder coat the bullets even though I was told that gas checks aren't necessary if I'm going to powder coat the bullets...well I paid 30,00 for them and so they are going to get used up ;)
Any help would be appreciated...I haven't found ANY videos on youtube for casting bullets and reloading them for the .270
