I'm grinning ear to ear.

My last order from Rotometals came in while I was out of town this week. I just opened the boxes to have a look at the 4 ingots of reclaimed boolit metal. Ingots were supposed to be approx 33 pounds each, total of approx 132 pounds. There was a fifth piece or chunk included. Made me curious so I weighed it all. Totaled up to 140! The chunk was 7.75 pounds.

Thanks Rotometals!
Thats the best thing that's happened to me all week!

This reclaimed boolit material looks good. I hope to cast with it this week end.

I'll also say I've really been hooked on two of their products. Their tin in 3/4 inch sheared rod makes adding tin really easy. It's also a pretty good deal to not have to search for pewter and then deal with my wife wanting to "rescue" the pewter pieces. Also their Super Hard 70/30 lead/antimony is wonderful stuff to use to get antimony in my alloy when I need it.

I think I've bought from them five times now and each transaction has left me very happy. This one tops them all though. Still jazzed about the extra chunk!

Awesome news! I have not purchased lead yet, however, Even spending $$ on it by the pound, the cost per round is still SOOO much more reasonable! I will be using Rotometals when the time comes

Wasn't aware that they sold reclaimed bullet metal....is this something new? I get their e-mail sales flyer and recently purchased Lino from them.

The tin chunks are very handy when the mystery alloy is misbehaving. The people at Roto Metal are top notch. I'll buy from them again when my Lyman #2 runs out. Gp

Yes the reclaimed boolit material is fairly new.

I just cast cast a couple of pounds of it into .380 boolits. Cast great. Didn't have to add any tin. I'm a fan.

I used to spend lots a range time mining the berms. Lots of cold calls on tire shops looking for wheel weights. Spent lots of time for the lead I got. Now days I'm shorter on time and I much prefer to spend a little money and save my time for casting, reloading, shooting and being happy.

I don't see the reclaimed boolit lead on their site.

Ahh...now I see it.

When one buys from Rotometals, are the ingots marked or do you have to remember what you bought?

6623729, my Superhard is stamped with that name tag from Rotometals. The reclaimed boolit material is not marked. A sharpie works for me.

Has anyone learned what the BHN for the reclaimed lead is, or best guess based on the percentages they listed?

Got my order from Rotometals last night. Four of the 70/30 ingots, 1 lb of tin and a two pound ingot of aluminum ( Just because :D), was hard to wait because it came from Cali. Seemed to take forever. Next order will be the reclaimed bullet ingots.
