Can anyone tell me the depth of the rcbs 22lb bottom pour casting pot?
I am going to make 2 angle iron ingot moulds and i need to know how long i can make the ingots. Thanks

I can't measure mine beause I leave lead in the bottom which you may wanna keep in mind. I bet if they were six inches long they'd be about right.

41cal,

You asked that question at just the right time, I happen to have my Pro Melt empty for cleaning and switching over to another alloy, I measures 5" deep.

I just took delivery on a brand new one. 5 1/8" to the top of the lip, so 5" would be a practical maximum depth.

There was a post on this subject the other day. When you weld up the ends, you need to have them on an angle as well. (for ingot releasing issues).

Keep your eyes out for a cast iron muffin pan. Some even use the light weight tins, I prefer cast.

Oh, and uhh....... Welcome to Cast Boolits !
