I read where is is an inaccurate boolit for whatever reason.
I had cast a few before I read this so am hoping someone has a load combo that makes it reasonably usable.
Makes me wonder what is it to boolit design that makes the 358477 a good shooter and the 357446 a "failure".

The 357446 is just as accurate as any other bullet of similar design, the problem,(if there is one), is that it usually drops at .358. I have had two, still have one and used in a .357 bore they are fine. They don't do well in oversized bores, and usually do better if pushed pretty hard. Just my experience.

This is one of those boolits that needs to be pushed hard. Load in 38 special at near max loads and it should be fine.

The 357-446 was the first 4 cavity mold that I ever had. I had so-so-results with it. I have since read that it needs to be pushed hard for best results. It was distinctly less accurate than either my RCBS 38-150 Kt or the Cramer 18H. My personal example has an undersized front band which I think affects the accuracy potential.

I had 2, and try as I might, it just never shot well. Both cast well, and plenty big, I just couldn't get decent results.

This is a great boolit. I have 4-5 of those molds. They gotta go faaaast though. Push it! It's very accurate, but not a plinker.

I've been using that bullet for over 40 years, and am still pleased with it.

I had great luck with it. I was able to sell mine for $15 more than I had in it.

The 357466 shoots fantastic out of my Ruger SP101 .357 Mag with 2.25" bbl. The accuracy actually surprised me. I first had a single cavity mold and the went ahead and got a 4 cavity. Cast an alloy with a BHN of 8-9 and load in 38 Special brass. I forget the powder and won't get a look at my data for a couple weeks due to work. A fairly mediocre load as I recall. On the other hand, the 358495 didn't do so well out of that same pistol. I ended up giving that mold to a new caster. Some guns just have their own personality.
