Anyone know how to get this off? It's one of those hammer thumb deals to help cock it when it has a scope on it. Unfortunately, I'm left handed and it's on the wrong side. I can't see any set screw on the outside. On the inside, it looks waaay too small to be a set screw. Maybe I'm wrong....anyone have one of these?

It's a hex set screw. Might be locktited on. If so, heat it with a soldering iron.

What he ^ said. There's a tiny set screw deep in the center. Almost always locktite'd in place. Another option is to stick the tip of a soldering iron down the center hole to heat the set screw and break the set.

While you're at it, you ought to finish that hammer too. What ever happened to finishing parts like that; radiusing the corners and breaking the edges?

There is a small set screw inside the knurled cylinder. I believe its a 6-32. look inside with a bright light it should be visable. Make sure to get the allen wrench all the way into it as they are usually very tight and if it strips its a bear to drill out

Thanks guys...I'm going to try the soldering iron idea. I have a Haku that will push a 1000 degrees.

Looks like a Marlin extension. Some like them even without a scope. You can reverse it.
