Really in need of some help here gentlemen. I shoot cal 32 S&W long, mainly wadcutter. I have spent almost a day trawling the net for a bullet sizing die in size "315" Found heaps in sizes 311,312,314 etc, have not found one in 315. An added bonus would be gold if it could screw into a Lee turret.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

lee will also make one on special order for you.

also.. if you had a cheapy like a lee in .314, opening it to .315 would be a task.. but not difficult if you own a drill and polish media and a mop, fleaning rods.. etc..

like this, also:

Last I knew LEE did special order for their bullet sizing dies.

About 3-4 weeks, and $10 -$12 more than the standard sizes.

I think that you can get them from N.O.E. After you purchase the body and the die and the push rod you can then purchase new dies and push rods to put into the body. I am thinking about trying this because I am not liking having to purchase the complete sizer from Lee for my powder coating. Go to noebulletmolds.com and check it out. Maybe someone has already tried their push through sizers and can give some feedback.

38$ is cheap for a custom die.. the kit is normally 28$ or so.. so yeah.. just like 10$ for them to make it like you want it.

For a basic Lee sizing die I have had success with enlarging a standard sizing die using emery cloth wrapped around a long shafted screwdriver and rolling this on a folded towel on my thigh (to save wear and tear on my thigh.). It takes a bit of time, but losing a thou or two would be fairly east.

Takes nothing to hone a Lee .314 out to .315. I've honed .314s to .316 and .318. Go slow sizing a few bullets as you go with bullets cast of the alloy you will use.

I use a dowel wrapped in sandpaper (600 grit) and roll it on my leg. Like Larry said check it often. When it gets close switch to finer paper finishing with 1000 grit.

I have bought several Lee custom size dies, 2 just a week ago, it takes about a month to get them, they are top notch!

It's a lot cheaper than the Lee kits if you have a bunch of them. It also takes up less space. And unlike the Lee kits you get the exact size you order. To Lee's defense the custom sizers are spot on. The production ones are hit and miss.

I would not use any bullet sizer on the turret. I know you can do it but I don't like to stress the press that way. Any single stage would be a better option.

It definately doesnt take much! I recently ruined 1 die and went 1 thou to much with another. Totally my fault, i only needed 1 thou with each die, i should have just polished to a mirror with ultra fine 1200 type grit would have worked perfect. I took a .448 to .451-452 and now its totally useless to me, i was hoping for .449, its as smooth as glass in there now tho lol! The other die was a .498 for my .50 Cal, i wanted to go .499 and ended up right at .50, i can stil use it for different application. My advise is the same as above, GO SLOW and check FREQUENTLY!

It appears that you are looking for a size only die and not a lube sizer, and then I would guess you are tumble or pan lubing. You don't say how oversized the bullet is, but have you tried shooting them "as cast?" I have found on several occasions that a bullet that I thought would be oversized shot just great. Just a thought.

Just ordered a custom Lee sizing die OTD price is $50.20 with shipping. One of the few Lee products I really, really like. I only use them for pan lubed BPML bullets as I dislike cleaning out the lube sizer and changing lubes.I use a .458 Paul Jones Creedmoor boolit and size it down to .451/.449 super accurate in the Pedersoli Gibbs rifle and the dies work perfectly.
