Just seen this add today in the backwoods man magazine . Yes I know cheaper to just buy 22lr or caps but would give one some independence. Anyone have or use it ? There's a coupon code for a free package of the priming compound in the add (BW120) . http://sharpshooter-22lr-reloader.myshopify.com/

Yep, it's been discussed on this site before...

I prefer this:

Do a search and you should fine a number of threads on it. If I remember correctly - some say it's o.k. and others didn't think much of it. I used to like shooting 22s until the shortage and now, I've pretty much given up on them. I haven't shot any of mine in a few years. Personally, if I was reduced to having to reload 22s I'd probably take up sling shot shooting or buy a really nice pellet rifle. I can reload such things as 38 Colt Short for plinking and critters very cheaply and with a whole lot less trouble - but that's just me. I know some are really dedicated to their 22s and more power to 'em!

Reloading .22lr is not for me. Time consuming.

50 yards and closer I would rather shoot airgun. Beyond 50 I prefer something like .357 mag and moderate loads of Red Dot below a cast boolit. Costs about the same as .22lr, easier to load, more bang for the buck.

Get yourself a little 9mm carbine and go have some fun. :)

I would not mind having the capability for extreme conditions but use my .22 hornet for that.

Cache a brick of primers and practice shooting.
