I picked up a single cavity 429421 mold and handles on eBay. Got her cleaned up and ready to cast today. I gotta say there's a certain elegance using a old Ideal SC mold. I used to just ignore the SC molds but my eyes have been opened.

The 429-421 is indeed a delightful bullet, and is one of my favourites in .44 S&W Special! Mine is a double cavity cousin of yours ;) -- but I have several single cavity moulds and never thought of them as having "elegance". However, my stable of moulds even has a 10-cavity H&G -- and in comparison, you may have something here -- the single cavities do indeed exude elegance.
I'd suggest that their "old-ness" may add to it; kind of like looking at a "Lucy" rotary dial telephone in a living room.

You might place a WTB ad in the Swap and Sell...I have bought a couple of 2cav on here for $35 dollars each...within the last 2yrs.

I would let you have one of those, but I have already passed them along to some new casters.

Put in for a raise...if you get it, ask (beg if you have to but don't overdo it too' much...) her for an advance...be real sweet, act innocent and grin a lot. Never can tell?

Isn't it funny how this addiction affects us? The other day I was loading 357's with my NOE 360429 and thought to myself "that is one sexy looking round." I do realize however I'm sicker than most.

I have several single cavity molds, some of them made for me that way. They are indeed elegant.
