Proverbs 1:1
The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel

such a simple verse. But yet it is as deep as any other.

solomon son of David King of Israel . David,Gods appointed king,Not only was David appointed by God ,he was a man after Gods own heart.( acts 13:22)

When Solomon took his fathers place as King. He understood the enormityof the position,he also knew his limitations. so he prayed to God for wisdom to guide his people (1 kings 3:7)God was so pleased he made him the wisest man to ever live.

so these are the wise sayings, of the smartest man to ever live. son of the man God called,a man after his hart.

So much scripture in just a few words.

Amen. Every time I read anything in Proverbs, I always feel edified, and so often see something in it that I hadn't seen before. It's amazing how one verse can have so many applications, if we just read it right, and are really looking for the "meat" in it. And every one of them has stood the most difficult challenge of all - the test of time and experience. What more could we mortals ever ask for?
