Met a fellow today and we got started talking about guns,(imagine that). He asked me if I knew anything about Henry rifles, which I don't. Seems he bought a Henry American Railroad Tribute Edition, and says that at 25 yards it shoots about 8 inches low and an inch to the right. This is with the rear sight in the low notch. Of course the one inch to the right is easily corrected by drifting the rear sight, but shooting eight inches low seems unreasonable. Anyone care to offer any input? Doesn't seem right to have to use the high notch on the rear sight just to get on the paper.

Is he a good shot, may I ask?
What kind of ammo is he trying?
Try 100 yards :)

Don't know what sort of shot he is. I'm beginning to think he doesn't know much about guns, as I am sitting here remembering the way he told the story. Maybe he needs to stick with model railroading, which is why he bought the gun.
