Hi all! I'm looking for recommendations for a gunsmith that can do some work on a J frame revolver. I did a search and came up empty. Who do you have experience with and recommend? Thanks for the help!

Best to list problems. simple stuff or a trip back to S&W.

I don't know if Jensen's in Tucson is still in business, as I haven't been out that way in years, but they used to have an S&W factory trained armorer in-house who worked on cop guns, back in the day when I did a ride-along with Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble...

Gemini Custom in Frankfort, KY does a lot of work on J frames and Ruger revolvers. They only do custom work, not general repair. Last time I looked at their website they had a deal for J frames where you got an action job, chamfered chamber mouths, and mill the sights to your specific load for $300.00 as I remember.

TK Custom in Thomasboro, IL. Mostly custom now but owner, at one time, did all the warranty work for one of the largest police suppliers in the Midwest. His "duty-gun" action jobs feel better than most gunsmith's "competition-level".

I would call Mr. Bruce Warren of BC Armory. He has done a couple revolvers for me and does great work. His package pricing is pretty competitive.

Lots of parts changers around, but very few gunsmiths, as you are finding out. Good luck!

Kent Singletary. Take a look at his web page. HE did fine work on my J-Frame with a quick turnaround.
