ARRRGGGG!!!
About a year ago, I decided to clean up my old Mosin (1937 receiver, with a poorly refurbished 1943 barrel), polish the barrel exterior, build a muzzle brake, do trigger job, install a scout scope mount and a ATI Monte Carlo stock. With the barrel removed from the action, and front sights cut off, I put it in my lathe, spun it, and ran some sandpaper down the outside of the barrel, and discovered a bulge in the barrel. Realising the barrel was junk, I drove to the city (Red Deer, AB., just over 400 km round trip), and found an excellent factory refurbished M91/30 (1936 made) for about $200cnd. I fixed up the 1936 M91/30, and showed it off at our local gun show. I have a Youtube video on my channel, showing the effectiveness of its brake, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJPsEwNo8vc&t=3s.
I found a barrel blank for the 1937 receiver, and built a fluted "bull barrel", with muzzle brake, for it. Having finished the barrel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7JyiJO43hA&t=2s), I set to work on the action, and discovered that the ejector spring is missing! Does anyone happen to have a spare lying around?
