I'm loading 124 grain coated MBC bullets over 3.6 grain of Titegroup for my 9mm. Shooting these out of a Beretta 92 and a Springfield XD. Loads shoot and function good , but I'm still getting leading in both pistols. Any ideas to solve this problem?
I should have said the projectiles measure .356.
Thanks!

First I would use a boolit puller and measure the diameter again, so many times folks go to seat those things and the case just squeezes them small. Whenever I load the 9mm I use a 357mag expander which is a little bigger than the one for 9mm. Then I would pop the boolit out and measure it against the other one. Using the 357mag expander wont flare the case mouth, just expand the case just a little bit more than the one for 9mm.

Would tumble lubing the rest of those projectiles with Alox hurt anything?

MBC are hitek coated 96/4/2 (hardball), not PC. Hot load, undersized generally gives leading even with hitek.

ive done this before . I had a batch a while back that my oven got too hot and allot of the pc stuck to the foil . I tumbled them in 45/45/10 ,loaded and shot them they functioned fine and didn't lead the barrel they just looked like hell .

The more I have been looking at these projectiles the more I see a lot of bare lead showing past the coating. I am going to tumble lube the remainder with Alox and get them shot up and probably go with a different manufacturer the next go around.
Also noticed almost all the leading was at the last inch or so of both barrels.
Thanks for all the help!

I would try .358 or the biggest diameter the barrel throat will allow. I shoot 357 or 358 out of my 9's, had the same problem with 356. get a lyman m die for belling the case mouth.

.356 is most certainly too small. Fit is king. I size to .357 for my PC 9mm's, some find .358 necessary.
