Hey guys-
I'm questioning the chamber on my 10" 7mm tcu barrel. Could I get the OD of a spent case from sombody? My spent case measurement for the body seems in the ballpark. But the neck on a spent is .318. Sized is .300. Loaded is .304. I don't like how it feels in the RCBS press for such a little shell. I can't come close to reaching the rifling at any OAL. It's not shooting cast well at all.
Thanks in advance

https://mcgowenbarrel.com/ammo-dimensions/ Try this site. I trim cases to 1.740 and set bullet out so OAL is 2.5

So I'm getting .315 on the very end of the neck on a spent case. Loaded .305 Using a Starret to measure with. the OAL # in previous post was with Jacketed bullets. The longest bool1t that I use is the 287641 . I get an OAL of 2.392.

Thanks for the measurement. I am using the soup can and I can stick a boolit in the throat and insert a case and stay off the rifling. NG.

Sometimes TC had long throats and depending on where your barrel came from, I have seen 7mm tcu contender barrels with very little rifling in the first inch or so, they were shot so much.
