It was given to me, it is a #457124 round nose 4 lube groove 4 cavity, new never used.

I have no use for it and would like to sell it, what would be a reasonable price for it? It is in the original box, has a handwritten "385 gr" note on the box. I will put it in Swapping and Selling once I have a feel for what it is worth.

Thanks,

Steve

Most Lyman 4 cavity molds go for around $100.00 new.

So, would $75 be a good price?

It should sell at that price. It'll cost about $8 to ship it. That's a good medium weight bullet for 45/70.

I would take it for $75.00

I bought two different 4 cavity Lymans this past year from different sources - both were used without handles but in excellent shape with very little use. I gave $75 each for them plus shipping which was done in a SFRB if I remember correctly. I could use them and had the chance to get them - I thought the price was reasonable - more than that, I probably would have passed on them.

That is a good mold and it is uncommon. There are a lot of 45/70 shooters who would cheerfully spend more than the cost of a new Lyman mold for a good, old mold, which is what you have. I'd put it on E-bay in a month or two when tax returns start showing up for maximum profit. It is easily worth 110.00-125.00 to the right buyer.
