Please share your favorite .32 H&R load(s) with any bullet other than wadcutters. I just don't like wadcutters because they're such a PITA to insert into the cylinder holes (to me, at least).

RCBS 32-98SWC in Starline cases with 3.5 grains of Bullseye approximates factory ammo. Gets 2000 rounds to the pound of powder.

Triggernosis,

I second what Outpost75 said but will add that 231/HP-38 is just about as good as Bullseye with just about any cast bullet you want to use unless you really want to push it. You can make powder puff loads in .32 H&R cases or you can make moderate .32 H&R-level loads in .32 S&W Long cases if you feel frisky with either of those powders. The RCBS 32-98SWC (and the NOE clone of that mold) is my favorite bullet for all round shooting in .32 S&W Long and .32. H&R Magnum loads. I have several other .32 caliber molds but it is the easiest to find a good load for.

Thanks, guys. I've got some W231.
Keep 'em coming.
I'd like to try some Trail Boss too at some point.

Out of a Ruger SS, 2.7 gr Red Dot with a 90 Lee SWC for light target loads, 4.2 gr Unique with RCBS 98 SWC for small game and general plinking. I have experimented with the slower powders 296, 110, and AA9 but see no need to make this a 357.

I would use this load only in a ruger single six or other strong gun, not the h&R guns.

NOE 115 gr cast with gascheck over 10 gr h110 and a sp mag primer.

3.0 - 3.5 W231 with a 94 grain rnfp.

Single Six only: The Handloader/Brian Pearce load of 11.6 - 11.8 grains of W296 with the 100 grain Hornady XTP-HP. I used 11.6 because my powder measure was set there already so I just went with it. Gives about 1267 fps from a 3-3/4" custom Single Six.

RCBS 32-98 SWC over 4.0 grains of Unique or 3.5 grains of WW.231. You can run the 231 hotter, up to 4.0 grains according to my RCBS Cast Bullet Manual No.1, but the lighter load was very mild and accurate for me.

Lee TL314-90-SWC over 3 gr Bullseye, Starline cases and WSP primers.

Runs just over 1000 fps out of my 6 1/2" barreled Ruger SS (original run) with excellent accuracy. It runs a little over 1100 fps out of my 10" Contender with 1 1/2 - 2" 1ten shot group accuracy at 50 yards (2 1/2X scope). The PSI as measured in the Contender barrel with an Oehler M43 PBL is less than the Federal Factory 98 gr LSWC load.
