Please pray for On my wife Dianna who is in the ICU at Methodist Hospital in Houston. On Monday morning while I was out flying, she was taken to the ER in Cuero with what was thought to be a severe migraine (no history) but soon suffered a seizure and was moved to Houston. She is receiving the best care possible but the source of the problem has not been found. Yesterday afternoon she experienced another seizure and I saw first hand that she was at death's door. I would appreciate your prayers!

RD,

My thoughts and prayers are with her. I am going through some medical "experiences" with my wife now. Surgery, radioactive iodine, mri's, test, test, test. I wish the best for Mrs. Dianna AND you. Keep your head high. She is going to need to see your strength and confidence to help boost hers.

DONE. We don't know God's plan. I carry a page from my medical records in my bible. On that page is the pronouncement, Not expected to live through the day. That was December 1999. I'm still here. I do ask for mercy and healing for her in the name of Jesus. I've learned and accepted I must trust in the Lord for his will to be done and give thanks for what I HAVE. Know it's in God's hands. My prayers are constant.
I also have made prayers for you.

My continued thanks fellows. After a week, I feel like some homeless guy that is being allowed to live in a hospital! It's not good when the guys from the basement to the surgery floors start to know your name! For sport, I even offered to wrestle one of the big night security dudes! Whoever won would get to tase the other! No dice, he said he didn't like the look in my eyes.

Any way, my wife is scheduled for an angiogram today.

Greetings fellows and thank you for the prayers, they are appreciated. I've been trying to post a followup but was having trouble with my broadband card and the hospital's wireless would not connect with this or any other forum that is based on firearms or hunting (I would hate this topic to be redirected to that subject).

A week ago Dianna was diagnosed with Primary Angitis CNS Vasculitis (http://vasculitis.med.jhu.edu/typesof/cns.html). Of all the things that we were fretting over, this was one that we hadn't considered or heard of but unfortunately it is a condition that usually proves to be fatal by the time it has reached a point that it can be diagnosed. With this diagnosis, the doctors let me know that Dianna could only be expected to live about 45 days but that this condition had been detected very early and that they would start the treatment cycle immediately. She has finished her first course of treatment and the this blood vessel rebellion, the vasculitis, appears to have been quelled. Now the doctors are high fiving but they have let me know that your prayers have helped more than anything so please, lift Dianna up every opportunity you get. I don't know how I will ever repay you fellows.

We are going to see a lot of this place in the future once Dianna is release but that is okay with me. Whatever my lady needs. This is day 12 but we have a couple more to go before the pain she has been experiencing is under control. Thank you again for your prayers!

To: YOU
Date: TODAY
From: GOD
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day. I love you.

P.S. And, remember...If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you. You may have touched their life in ways you will never know! Now, you have a nice day.

God

God has seen you struggling,

Dianna and I are back at the ranch!

Basically where Dianna stands is that she maintain a course of meds that continues the treatment started in the hospital. In mid-August we will return to The Methodist Hospital and she will go back through all the testing to see if the vasculitus is being held in check or not. There is no doubt that the return home has done her some good but we have a way to go to August 12 & 13 to hear what the future is going to be line.

I thank each of you for your prayers and friendship as this has developed and ask that your efforts continue. Please also keep Frank (Steelbanger) and his wife, Carol, in your prayers as I just received an email from him stating that on Monday she starts her course of Chemo.

Greetings fellows, wanted to provide an update on Dianna.

We spent the last two days in Houston at the Medical Center and Dianna walked out with a clean bill of health. There is a lot of medical speculation as to why she is a survivor of Primary CNS Vasculitus but I prefer the simple answer, God's will has been revealed. Both Dianna and I, over the last 90 days were able to come to peace with our situation and had learned to take everyday as offered. Personally, I feel ever in debt to each of you for your prayer effort on our behalf. Thank you and God bless you!

Well, bless both of you, that is terrific. And one of few good stories to come out of Houston after Ike paid a visit.

That's great! People say miracles don't happen, but I have seen
a few real ones. They sure seem to happen a lot more often
to people that pray, and even more when a bunch of folks pray
for someone.

Thanks to God.

Life is good.
