Pot temp affect weight of bullet?

I poured some bullets at 750 degrees and they dropped at 181.00 grains ,the next time I poured I forgot to turn down the pot from warming it up at 850 degrees and poured a new batch and they weighed 178.00 grains. Is that what caused the difference.im pouring linotype.

Did it effect the diameter as well ?

Havnt measured that as they will be swagged

Hotter lead shrinks more as it cools, to a point. You may or may not be able to measure a difference in diameter, but the second set definately have less volume assuming that both sets were cast from the same batch of alloy (thus having the same density).
