My Dad left the old girl to me, she is not purty, but shoots great

All O3-A3`s are purty! Especially in original unmodified condition.
What`s the barrel date...1943 or 1944?

Like STP22 said all "03's" and "03A3's" are beautiful, especially those that havn't been to the butcher shop. Looks like a fine and distinguished rifle. I have owned several and all of them shot well.

Purty is in the eye of the beholder. I would say that it is sort of homely like but grows on ya. :-D

Mind you, if it followed me home I wouldn't be leaving it out in the cold hoping it would go away. Need another rifle safe.

I hope it shoots well. The photo's show it appears to be in very good condition.

I would gladly give it a home with my similarly 'ugly' rifles. Send it over.

Sweet! Have an '03 but I'm still looking for an '03-a3. Plus, it's your Dads. That means something to me.

It is amazing to find one used for yearrs and not cut down. A good looking outfit.

I would rate the 03A3 as definitely one of the most usable stock military bolt rifles
available. Accurate, good adjustable sights, great caliber, smooth
action.

Great gun, family history improves it tremendously.
