I have an older model H&R in 22 hornet.
I'm thinking about Rechambering.
I would like go with something unique.
Looking at 219 zipper or maybe even do a complete rebore to something like a 32-40.
What cartridge would you choose and why ?
I'm listening. [emoji101]

Trophy Tom -
Howdy !
What about a " .22 Jet " set-up as a .224" caliber ?
The Mini-Roller's that have been offered in .357Mag would also make a good starting point.

Maybe a .25-20? Not the worst caliber to cast for, and would fill in the gap you have between the .22's and .30-30.

Not sure the twist rate of your .22 Hornet barrel would be correct for a rechamber to .219 Zipper. As for totally changing caliber; I'd consider changing the barrel, and keep the barrel you have as is.

The Bee and Jet are good cartridges, both better in their improved versions. The snag is that they are both (the Bee a little and the Jet a lot) shorter than the Hornet case, and you can't set back an H&R barrel. The Zipper should be good, although again I would prefer the improved version, not really for capacity but for brass life and easy extraction. It isn't like there is going to be a significant supply of standard Zipper cartridges in your local gun store.
Even a Hornet is likely to have some erosion of the throat if it has been used much, and the .475in. or so of the Zipper case will get you a newly cut throat that much further down the barrel. Like the Jet, .30-30 brass to make it will be available in the age of the death-ray, although .25-35 might simplify the forming job.

OK, you want different
38 Special, bore it out and have a fun shooter
If you want to stay 22 cal, then 225 Win is pretty odd
