I usually run my Dillon vibrator over night with corncob. I set the timer on my tumbler for 2 hours when using stainless media. Some of the guys using the wet polishing process notice peening around the case mouth if they run too long. Are you seeing any?

A nice addition to your mixer would be a timer. Check them out the next time you are in Home Depot or Lowes!

Leaving them in the acid even though not tumbling still effects them. The SS pins are only cleaning off what the acid/soap loosens. As long as the brass is under water the impact of cases against each other is far worse than with the tiny SS pins. That is the source of any peening seen on the case mouths. In cob or walnut shell, they are cushioned and don't fall unimpeded into each other, thus no peening.
