View Full Version : Boolit ID??

I recently picked up another old reloading tool, this one for the 256 Newton cartridge. Included was one case and three boolits. The age is old, probably late 1940's or earlier.
I have not weighd the boolit or measured it's length, yet. What is more interesting is the design, long and straight with the odd crimp near the nose.

Any boolit collectors here? Idea of who made it?

Is this a two piece bullet, where the nose cap is set into the jacket? I've seen these in the past, but I don't remember who made them. My foggy memory seems to want to say DWM or Norma, but don't take that to the bank......

Hope this helps.

WAG time. Is it one of the paper insulated bullets? or were they for the Ross cartridge?

Robert, I think Ross and Newton are from the same era. It was to be loaded into a 256 Newton case. Curious design for certain.
