I want to try a RCBS 40-300-SP-CSA in a 41 Magnum.
Yes, I know it is a huge boolit for a 41 Mag.
The boolits cast at 310 to 311 grains, sized at .410" and lubed with Alox-Beeswax.
The loads I can find are for 4227, H110, & Unique.
I was thinking the Unique powder loaded at 7 grains should be a good one to start with.

Comments?
Other loads to try?

I load for the 41 Super Blackhawk Hunter with 210 gr. Saeco and a Lee 240 gr. SWC plain base.
I am running out of space in the case with the 240 gr but have hit 1,300 fps with 'Lil Gun.

Are you going to be able to get enough velocity to make the 300 gr. useful? The tracectory might be extreme.

Where do you live in Az. I'm in north Phx.

I WOULD NOT USE UNIQUE, THERE IS NOT MUCH ROOM FOR A VERTICAL PRESSURE "CURVE"
we use 17 grains of WC 820 with a 275 grain Keith design for 1175 fps in a 4.5 inch Ruger. Please try H110 or 4227, a little more forgiving.
