MaXam CSB-5 load data
Listed below is my load data for the MaXam CSB-5 powder using 8 pellets of #00 buckshot cast from the Lee #00 buckshot mould, and a 7/8 ounce slug cast from the Lee 7/8 ounce key drive slug mould. I could not find any load data using this powder for the loads I wanted. There is very little data for this powder using lead shot, but there is data for several pistol calibers. I had bought this powder a couple of years ago at a gun show when pistol powder was scarce.

All loads are using Remington STS hulls. All of the #00 buckshot loads are using the Downrange DRA12Y wad. The loads listed “with buffer” used Precision’s spherical buffer PRPSB22 with a thin overshot card.

Slug loads using Ballistic Products PT1205 wad, Lightning 078 wad, and Claybuster’s CB0178 wad. I used a ¼” cork spacer under the slug. Where it says “with cork and card” I used the ¼” cork spacer then a 1/8” cardboard spacer under the slug.
