"Bet You Can't Have Just One"
Can't figure out if it's just Single Shots, or the addiction to cast Boolits...............I was looking at Boolit moulds before I knew which gun I wanted. The only thing I knew for sure was that it was to be another 38-55. So after many phone calls and countless hours researching, and shopping online, this is what I got: CPA Stevens 44 1/2 and got it unfinished, but that part was fun too. This is only their standard grade wood.................

It also shoots like a dream. I took it to the range twice now, first trip only shot 24 BP rounds & 6 smokeless thru it @100-200m. I think Buckshot fired about 1/3 of that.
Second trip was to Pala and shot 200-500. Everything dialed right in, then I shot 2 rams first shot was 3-4 inches low of center- slow falling over, dialed up, the next one dropped right over, a buddy shot it knocked over 2 rams, handed it over to another guy, 2 more fell right over. We moved over to the chickens to shoot offhand. I put the 200 setting in, Mike hit the chicken on the first shot, handed it to Larry, chicken fell over, then hands me the gun and says OK, pressure's on, gotta hit on the first shot................I HIT IT! That's it I said I quit........Don't wanna ruin a good thing.
Fired 78 rounds thru the gun, so far.
Conditions- slight breeze 5-7 mph about 1 PM temp-94*
Load- Paul Jones #38001 365 gr Creedmore/ 46 gr Swiss 3F/Fed GM215M/.030 veg wad/ Lars BPCR Supreme Lube

I bought this gun to shoot out to 200-300 yds, but I want to shoot just 1 BPCRS match with it. Maybe once a year I will also shoot smokeless with it at LASC Extravaganza Shoot.

Had to sell off 3 guns, 1 spotting scope, 2 tripods, 2 moulds and some sights to finance this one, but worth every penny.

Many Thanks to Paul & Gail Shuttleworth, nice people to deal with.

............The rifle is actually prettier in person then in the pics. Jon K did an exceedingly fine job on the woodwork. It's an easy rifle to shoot, as it shoulders well but it also fits on sandbags off the bench.

The man DOES know how to load BPC's too :-)

WAIT just a minute here. That's standard wood? That doesn't look like any standard wood I've ever seen. I bought some blanks for a small frame Martini, 2 grades up from standard that don't look that good. You done good, that is one great looking rifle, I am soooooooo jealous.
