Hi guys, I am looking at this and thinking it might be suitable for a conversion to something like a 40-65!

Calibre/Item: 20G BP
Make: Enfield-Henry
Model: 1878
Action: Martini

I can't find anything about the 20G BP shotgun version, does anyone know about these and the difference between them and the standard henry martini 1878?

If so what would be needed to convert it to a rifle?

I don't know anything about that particular model but the Greeners were a popular conversion to rifle calibers. Biggest issue will probably be getting or making an extractor that will work. The firing pin hole will probably need to be bushed as well.
I'm not sure what those normally sell for but the price seems reasonable compared to the US market. I have several 40-65s and love the caliber.

Just a standard M/H action. I made mine into a 577 "Super Snider". Suitable for most 'older' rifle cartridges of the era!
