This was in the estate I purchased and I don't have a clue. I believe the die is a 358(stamped .358) bullet sizer for arbor press. But that is only a guess. The brown item looks like some kind of primer dispense, just a guess. Item with red handle WHO KNOWS??????

Thanks in advance
Doug

The die stamped .358 is a Lee bullet sizer. Before Lee started selling liquid Alox they sold a lube sizing kit that contained a die like you showed and a little pan, a stick of lube and a cake cutter. You melted the lube in the pan put the bullets in the melted lube, when it solidified cut them out and pounded them thru the sizing die.

The primer Feeder Is a Herters . with tube. works well. . There are a Lot around. the smooth Hole on the top fits over the die and Then adjust. The problem . You have to Readjust every time when you change the die

Sal is right, Herter's primer feed, 2nd model. The other item is sadly just one psart of a Herter's core cutter.

Fellows,
Thanks for the input. Sal what would the other half look like? Who knows it may be in with the rest of the stuff I haven't been through yet.
Thanks again

cga,
Mine doesn't have a name on it either. Is this the entire piece of equipment and what is it used for?
Thanks for the picture

it's for cutting lead wire.
you would use the lead wire to make cores for swaging jacketed bullets.
but that's pretty much it.

Used to cut lead wire for jacketed bullet cores. The lead wire I have, came in 25 lb. rolls. This was used to cut it to the desired weight/length. There is a hole in the handle just above the set screw. Slide the lead wire through the hole until it touches the set screw, then push the handle to cut the lead. Length (weight) is determined by the set screw.

So it is a complete core cutter. I am not familiar with this process and was asking because Pressman posted it was part of a core cutter. Just wanted to know if I needed to look through the rest of this stuff to hunt the rest of it.
Thanks for all the input

Cga's Herter's core cutter. I did a quick clean of the picture in Photoshop to bring out the detail.
Unfortunatly I don't have this model in the collection, yet.

Another CGA picture showing the operation. This is a Herter's Model 29 core cutter.

There is also a Model 30 though it is a lot more complicated as it allows for near micrometer core lenght adjustment.
