Use loads given for jacketed bullets (condoms). BLC2/WC846 is likely the preferred powder. ... felix

I'm shooting a 250 lee 38/55 boolit I removed the bevel base from . It is going about 1350 fps from a 15" barrel with 30 grs of Benchmark and 1.9 cc Lee dipper of coffee grounds as a filler. I've managed to get 3 shots in a 1" but 5 into 1 1/4" it ain't bad for a mold that I ( fixed) most stuff like that I bugger up.[smilie=1:

[smilie=1:The mould I use was a plain bevel base. I shoot the previous load in IHMSA but have ran the plain base up to 1700 with out grief and have pushed the rcbs 264 gc past 2000 fps that is a good bullet. But I'm happy just replicating the 38-55 in a hand gun.
