I have read a lot of OLDER threads about how bad their 6.5 molds are.
Are their current run of molds any better?

I get some of my best groups with that mold. The boolit yaws and leaves oblong holes on target, though.
That said, NOE makes a 270-163 FN that's close but, I haven't worked with it much, yet.

I have that mold and was hoping it'd work in a 6.5magnum.

On their Web site it states it is designed ONLY for use in military mauser, which I am gathering is why the mold throws a little bigger.

186542I use a C/M mould cut down to cast 150gn bullets for my M91 Carcano which works well.

I don't think it's a size issue, it's the length. It may be so long, that the gas check, will be seated below the neck. NOE has a short 6.5mm bullet, that I think would work perfectly, but they're never in stock.

I've been using the NOE 125gr in my 6.5x55 Tikka. It feeds and shoots nice. It drops from the mold at .266 with a #2 alloy. I'd buy it instead of the larger diameter moulds.
