I recently picked up a rare Whitney Kennedy experimental model in 45-60. This gun is in excellent original condition and has some real rare features. It is an extremely early 3 digit serial number with no letter prefix. It has the "S" lever, Trapdoor Springfield rear sight and double set triggers. It also came with a Whitney Kennedy cleaning kit in the butt, those are quite scarce as well.
I took it to a cowboy shoot this past weekend and shot a round with it. It shoots great and anyone that shoots a 45-60 knows these are much more pleasant to shoot than a 45-70.
